Active English Week v našej škole prebehol od 5.- 9.2.2024. Pätnásť druhákov zlepšovalo svoje komunikačné schopnosti v anglickom jazyku pod vedením lektora. Aktivity, zážitky, atmosféru kurzu podávajú osobne, ako inak, v angličtine.
It was a nice experience, we enjoyed it. We played a lot of games and roleplays. At first it was difficult to understand but with time it got easier. We were talking a lot about interesting topics and we learned many new words. In my opinion it was very helpful to speak fluently. I´d like to experience it again. /Petra Bačová, II.MAS/
This week was full of unforgetable experiences. First day we had little problems with understanding, but later it was better and better. We were laughing so much. In some activities we had to be creative to make stories or act something. We were talking about many things like food, hobbies, traditions, family, jobs and even more. Also we had some activities such as speed dating, quiz, roleplay, write a horror story or story with words chosen random. It gave us experiences, which we will use in our lives. And we found out that, we are not that good in our everyday life, but if we would like to change it, we can. /Rebeka Ruth Palečková, II.B/PS/
Last week, we had the incredible opportunity to participate in an English week with a lecturer from Liverpool. It was an experience that not only enhanced my language skills but also opened my eyes to general knowledge Throughout the week, we delved into really interesting and actual topics which enriched our grammar and vocabulary also creative writing. Our lecturer, with his Liverpool accent, brought a unique perspective to the classroom, making each session engaging and enjoyable. We were free to speak and say our own opinions on, we were free to express our creativity in the activities that the lecturer prepared for us. We were having a good time and also learned something new. /Viktória Pirošková, II.B/PS/
On the first day everyone introduced themselves. We were in a big stress that we're going to speak only in English. No one knew how to react back, but all the stress slowly disappeared, and everyone became more active and communicative. The lecturer was fantastic. The interesting thing that surprised me was, that he visited a lot of places in Slovakia! Surprisingly he didn't know a word in our native language. However, he learned how to say ,,bryndzové halušky", which is the traditional Slovak dish. We had some group discussions activities and we were talking about interesting stuff, and the most important thing is that we had a lot of fun! After 25 hours of speaking in English this language became to me even closer then ever. English started to be my second native language. I would be thrilled to have another experience like this! /Melinda Vojtková, II.B/PS/
